We’re proud to confirm that Towmate Trailers has once again been certified as a Carbon Neutral business, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to operating responsibly and reducing our environmental impact.
Following an independent carbon assessment by Carbon Neutral Britain, we have successfully measured and offset 164.45 tonnes of CO₂e emissions across our operations for the 2024/25 reporting period.
Steve Bradshaw, Managing Director at Towmate Trailers, said:
“Becoming Carbon Neutral is something we’re genuinely proud of. It’s about taking responsibility for our impact and making sure we’re doing the right thing, not just for today, but for the long term.”
Our Carbon Neutral status has been independently certified in line with ISO 14064-1:2018 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standards, ensuring full transparency, accuracy and credibility. The certification covers the period October 2024 to September 2025, with Carbon Neutral status awarded for January–December 2026.
To achieve Carbon Neutral status, Towmate Trailers offset its total carbon footprint through the Carbon Neutral Britain Woodland Fund, supporting a portfolio of internationally verified environmental projects.
The Woodland Fund supports initiatives that go beyond carbon offsetting alone — delivering positive environmental, social and ecological benefits worldwide. Projects include reforestation, conservation, renewable energy generation and community-based environmental programmes.
As a manufacturer, we recognise that emissions are an unavoidable part of our industry. Measuring, understanding and offsetting our carbon footprint allows us to take responsibility for that impact and take meaningful steps to improve.
Our latest emissions report highlights key areas for ongoing focus, including company vehicles, energy use and staff commuting, helping us target future reductions where they matter most.
Maintaining Carbon Neutral status is not a one-off exercise. We are committed to:
Becoming Carbon Neutral is part of a wider journey and we’ll continue to do our bit to support a more sustainable future for our industry.
